Monte Concern For The "disappeared" Happy Feet Penguin



Fears are growing well in Happy Feet, the emperor penguin, which washed on the beach in New Zealand, when scientists lost contact with birds.

A transmitter connected to the Penguins earlier this month of its launch in the transmission savage stopped in place on Friday.

The researchers said that Happy Feet may have been eaten, or follow-up may have failed or fallen.

The bird was found emaciated on a beach in June, hundreds of miles off course.

Happy Feet was released from the research vessel Tangaroa, September 4 in the Southern Ocean about 50 miles (80 km) north of Campbell remote island.

He returned to the wild after recovering from surgery to remove 3 kg (6.6 pounds) of sand in his stomach.
